Greece has many areas that are suitable for novice sailors, with normally
calm waters and plenty of destinations within a short trip from base.
For the more advanced and experienced sailor you can learn to handle bad
weather in the Cyclades where the Meltemi blows.
These schools all offer training in English and use the RYA or ASA syllabus.
Aegean Sailing School
An RYA recognised sailing school in the Saronic
Gulf, offering courses starting in Athens, Aegina, or Poros. The school offers
two-day Start Yachting courses, Competent Crew, Day Skipper (non-tidal), and
Coastal Skipper (non-tidal). Courses are either 5-day or over three weekends.
